The Apostate Church

6B archangel over Jesus on CrossWhat is an apostate church?   An apostasy is a falling away from what was once believed.   Wherein, in these end times, (which we are definitely in) before the Rapture of the Church, there will be and IS a great falling away of the church, especially in America.  Look at what comes out of Hollywood.   Look at what is on television with all the sex and violence.  There are no more stops anymore. There are no morals.   There is no love of God or Country or patriotism from the left in America.

II Thessalonians 2:1-3 “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come (Rapture) unless the apostasy (falling away) comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.” Before the anti-Christ is revealed, there will be lawlessness, already in process. The one who is coming (Jesus) will appear after a furious activity of apostasy.  Satan and all the powers of darkness will be setting the stage, destroying the faith of many.  Because sin (as it is now) will be more rampant, the love of many of God’s people will grow very cold.  There will be shipwrecked believers on all sides.  God’s greatest concern is not what Christians are falling into….but, what they are falling away from!  Multitudes of Christians, including pastors, deacons, and ministry people of all kinds are losing their faith and confidence in the power of Jesus’ name!   Now, if you read my blog too, on the Old Cross and the New THAT is evident.   There is a turning towards methods, psychology, human expertise, and the philosophies and doctrines of men, not God including just a “feel good” sales pitch , without scripture or the CROSS!  Some  of this article comes from an old article in the 80′s by Dave Wilkerson, with my own interjections.  It is a good wake up call.

The message begins with a revelation of God’s grief over the cause of the apostasy!  “Woe to the rebellious children, declares the Lord, who execute a plan, but, not mine, and make an alliance, but not of My Spirit, in order to add sin to sin;  Who proceed  down to Egypt without consulting Me, to take refuge in the safety of Pharaoh, and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!”  Isaiah 30:1-2   Why does God call them rebellious children?  Because they have now committed the ultimate sin, causing Him the utmost grief?  Here is introduced a sin WORSE than adultery, or fornication or stealing , or lying, or hating one’s brother.  It is the ultimate sin of rebellion and apostasy!  God calls it a compounded sin…adding sin upon sin!  It is a slap in God’s face…The consummate, ultimate, most brazen sin possible for a child of God to commit.  It is proceeding down to Egypt rather than consulting the Lord!  This was directed to the leaders of Israel under Hezekiah, but also to the church of these latter days.

Drug abuse, alcoholism, adultery, gambling, homosexuality, fornication, pornography are all sins against the flesh, against society, and against the laws and commandments of God. But THIS sin is against the Lord Himself!  It is a personal indignity against a holy God!  “Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are very strong, but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!” Isaiah 31:1.  Remember, this is all about how to be delivered from the enemy!   How do we deliver God’s people from the raging enemies?  The Assyrians are at the gate, threatening destruction.   Assyria means successful enemy here.. but, here too, now we have the war on terror, and the haters of Christians  out to kill us from the Old Persian Empire (Iran).   How are God’s leaders going to face this formidable enemy at the gate?   Do we have ”believers”  in Washington and in our pulpits ready to defend Christ in this nation and the Cross, not to mention fight without compromise?   We have become apostate….and our leaders do not want to “rock the boat” or ”stir up”.   They don’t want to STAND for values, and Christianity and what America was founded on.

As a youngster during WWII,  the church in Germany did exactly what we are doing now!  Not a one spoke out against Hitler….and our own ambassador then,  Joseph Kennedy the bootlegger, thought we should make a pac with Hitler.  How blinded do we have to be? Now, are we being blinded by Putin and Russia too? He is still KGB, and history repeats itself.  These little countries of Georgia, Ukrain, and then Poland to the left..All border next to Turkey, and south of them, is Iraq and Iran.  Are we being blindsided thinking Putin is a “good guy”?  He is selling arms to Iran, and Iran to the south moving north and Russia moving south?  There goes democracy in the area…Isaiah is right! God is right!   Iraq, Georgia, Afghanistan…All these countries that want democracy, including Jordan are hurting.   They are our allies, and it is time the CHURCHES  came together, including the Catholic church and the Vatican.   Pope  John Paul, knew..a man born in Poland remembering what Hitler did….and later the Russians..Speak up churches!    They want to kill us that are Christians and are…and they want to take over all the oil and cripple our economy and kill us!  History repeats itself!

“For this rebellious people who refuse to listen to the instruction of the Lord” Isaiah 30:9.  Moses prophesied that this very thing would happen in the latter days!  He foretold of the great falling away of God’s people.  “Take this book of the law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may remain there as a witness against you. For I know your rebellion and your stubbornness; behold, while I am still alive with you today, you have been rebellious against the Lord; how much more, then, after my death?  For I know that after my death you will act corruptly and turn from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days, for you do that which is evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger with the work of your hands.”  Deuteronomy 31:26 -29.

God is saying to us now…”When you were first called…when I touched you and delivered you from the enemy…you wanted only ME!   I was your joy…I alone was your satisfaction.  (As new baby Christians after we were saved).  You were not burned out; you had a yearning in your heart after ME!   Now you have experts and how to books, seminars, training sessions,  experts, and all the technology on internet, never mind, texting day in and day out.  No one talks on the phone to each other anymore..They just send a text message.  We have become so impersonal and cold, selfish. The me ism generation, excluding God. You are learning how to do things better, but getting to know God less!  You do things God says, in “My” name, yet always busy, hardworking on the go ALL the time…But, it leaves you weary, burned out, and empty because you are on the road to Egypt!  You are headed in the wrong direction!  You know , I see this all the time….YOU CANNOT hear from God unless you are in that quiet place to hear that small small voice of God in prayer, that comes through in the spirit.  How can you hear from God with a stereo blasting while online, or text messaging all at the same time or while going , going , going…like the energizer bunny.  You can’t!  It is a falling away and becoming apostate.

Our churches no longer have the power of God to attract people.  They go down to Egypt and borrow its music, dancing…Its all entertainment now, hoping for a crowd.  It is a “sales pitch” and  gimmicks, most of which with the “prosperity” message, to make money.   They have  NO PASSION FOR SOULS, just crowds!   Church growth at any cost?  The average church bulletin looks like a theater calendar.   It is a stench in God’s nostrils.  (Now, not all of today’s mega churches are this way…but, most are.) Which is why we need too, discernment, instead of being attracted to “what is playing “, ask “do they preach the cross? ” “Do they preach holiness, judgment, and repentance?”

Jeremiah was sent to prophesy against the apostate Jews, the Lord’s own people.  God warned him:  “They will fight against you…they have forsaken Me, the fountain of the living  waters, to hew for themselves cisterns…the dread of Me is not in you (them)” Jeremiah 1:19, 2:13-19).  Why do people embrace the prosperity message and reject correction and calls to repentance and holiness?  It is because of their life-styles.  Prosperity  preaching fits beautifully into their successful life-styles.  They are in no mood to give up anything or to hear of crosses and losses.  They are into buying, acquiring, enjoying, climbing!  They refuse to heed the prophetic warnings that the party will soon be over.

“And whose collapse is like the smashing of a potter’s jar;  so ruthlessly shattered” Isaiah 30:12-14.  There is coming a sudden, overnight, ruthless shattering…a collapse of ministries, churches, lifestyles of those who are at ease in Apostasy.  There is coming an economic calamity so sudden, so unexpected, the money flow will stop!  Man-centered ministries will go bankrupt one after another.  Apostate churches laden with debt will fall into bankruptcy…..and I’ve already seen that happen.   The ones that preach prosperity exclusively will become the most hated preachers in the land.  An awesome collapse is coming soon.   The kingdom of self, of pride, and of ambition is coming down.   The warnings of Isaiah will not be heeded, as well as preachers who tell the truth and warned!    These warnings will not trouble those Christians who are shut in with God..  (Halleluiah)   Yet, trusting in Jesus , He said to us that are faithful, “Fear not”…For there is a glorious side to it all!

The closing curtain is about to fall and the church is getting its final call to repent, forsake its selfish ways, get back to the holy place, and be poured out as a sacrifice.  A remnant now is being deeply stirred  by the spirit of God.    Is the spirit of God calling you?  That sweet-smelling aroma to Him.  Are you weaned from the “world”?  Do you feel the spirit of God tugging at you inside that a mighty move is about to happen?   I do..  God is going to do something or allow something to happen to get us on our knees.   He wants us to be a living sacrifice to Him.   Thank you Lord Jesus,  for those Christians that are obedient to you Lord, and love you.   I pray that America changes and gets down on her knees in repentance. How about you and your walk with God..Do you even know Him?   He’s here..just waiting…….  and meanwhile in the natural, we need to deal with Iran and Russia!   If not? They will make their way to our shores!   I pray for the wisdom of our leaders and America!   I pray for the hearts of church leaders to clean up the stench  stop the Apostasy ……..we are grieving our Lord who loves us so much.

*This is an article by the late Dave Wilkerson’s October World Challenge. Oh, what a warning it is for all of us.

“God promised the prophet Zechariah that in the last days he would be a protective wall of fire around His people: ‘For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about.’ Zechariah 2:5).

Isaiah also testifies to this: ‘For thou hast been a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. (Isaiah 25:4)There shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain. (4:6) These promises are meant to comfort us as ‘prior warnings.’ You see all the prophets warn of a great storm coming in the final days. And this storm will beat against God’s wall of protection with ferocity. Jesus says the coming storm will be so frightful and overwhelming that people’s hearts will fail them as they see it forming (Luke 21:26). If Jesus says this storm is going to be ferocious we can know it will be an awesome moment in history. Yet the Bible assures us God never sends judgment on any society without first revealing to his prophets what he plans to do? ‘Surely the Lord God will do nothing but he reveals his secret unto his servants the prophets.’ (Amos 3:7)

We are always to keep this in mind: God’s purpose in lovingly calling us back to himself is to protect us in such times of storm. Yet we then and now, grow weary of these warnings. They simply didn’t want to hear anymore. No one now wants to hear the true word and warnings either. So, the prophet’s voice got switched off.  Same later in Ezekiel. How he warned people, and us, today as well. Yet, many do not want to hear. He told Ezekiel to tell people, ‘I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate…..because of all the abominations which they have committed.” Ezekiel 33:288-29.   Think about the $14 trillion we owe China, while they are making all our products, the out of control fires destroying land, houses, the drought and dust storms destroying farms, corn, which cuts our food and the prices go up…along with gas.  This is only the beginning.  Who will we rely on?  It is only the HOLY church of Jesus we will be able to find refuge in.. For the rest who are happy clappy will all fold!  GOD Almighty Himself in all power, will take them out, and THAT is what will bring about the mightiest move of repentance and REVIVAL we have ever seen.  When that happens, look up …Look up in the air, for Jesus will come in the Rapture.

The majority of churchgoers today soundly reject all prophetic warnings of a coming storm. Indeed the American church is the most blatant ‘feel good’ church in all history,” and as T.D. Jakes said too, “the most scripturally illiterate”, too. But, like Israel, we are only experiencing the calm before the storm. Like in Moses time, while he was on that mountaintop for 40 days, all kinds of lawlessness took over, including drunkenness, and acts just like today’s world. Christians today too, are casting off the yoke of Christ, tossing aside all limits of restrictions.” Even to Chrislam now, a new move with Islam…a horrific blatant act going against everything Holy and the CROSS at Calvary, where Jesus died for the sins of the world.

We are in an economic recession, and we’ve all heard this for many years in churches. Like with the prophets, people grow sick of the warning sounds. “The Apostle Peter predicted that many believers would have the same attitude as these scoffers: ‘There shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation. So, they think the warnings and prophets predicting the storms are fools. This is the very reason God tells h is prophets to shout their warnings from the housetops.

Just before his death and resurrection Jesus stared into the face of a horrible coming storm. He saw what was just ahead: Jerusalem would he surrounded by powerful armies, the temple would be destroyed, the city would be burned to the ground, and thousands would die on crosses erected by the invading enemy. The Jews’ entire society as they knew it was about to collapse. Christians seemed focused mostly on their own needs: ‘my needs, my problems, my past, my future; how my friends have failed me, how the church as wounded me.’ God’s people were no longer weeping over a dying world. Yet the Holy Spirit showed me who our Lord reacted in the face of the coming storm. The apostle John writes, ‘As he is, so are we in this world’ (1John 4:17) We simply have to have Jesus mindset in all things.”

“God wants us to be prepared. He is clearly telling us, ‘Don’t be moved or agitated by anything you see. Keep your eyes focused on me and you will retain your joy. It is as if Christ is telling us, ‘I faced everything you’re going to face in the closing days of time. I had the same foreboding feelings because I saw the coming storm.” But, when you run into the presence of our Father and He lifts all our concerns, it is in this presence, where we find, joy, hope and the rest I would ever need, to the very end.” I have peace and joy because I have HIM in me.   My flesh shall rest in HOPE..and with (Acts 2:26) and with that hope, our faith grows, that which is unseen. It is only too, by trusting in the only one that loves us and will hold us in His arms of love. Do you have hope? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

Gaza: A Historical Perspective

gz-map-320x343The following is by Steven I and I am re-blogging for it’s historic content; so relevant in todays misunderstanding of this land called Israel.  But God gave this land to the Jews through Abraham in Genesis 12.  It is HIS…(God’s).  Quote:

“No other land dispute attracts more attention or generates more debate than the Arab-Israeli conflict, as both sides contend for the attention and solidarity of the world. However, I am reminded what one of my professors in undergrad studies once wrote, “The most pressing truths are not in fact ‘profound’ truths, but how do we find the truth in midst of the all the narratives we are presented with?”  We must rescue the straightforward and abundant historical facts from the ideologues. Also, as Mitchell Bard reminds us, “Israel’s enemies have become very sophisticated at manipulating the media.” It is necessary that we educate ourselves and be ready to respond to complex and often emotional (not to mention false) claims against Israel.[1]

Gaza: From Biblical Times to Today[2]

The first mention of Gaza is found in the Book of Judges, which talks about a Philistine city where Samson’s death is recorded. Israel took control of Gaza in the Hasmonean era (c. 140 b.c.e to 37 b.c.e), and the region is known to have Abraham and Isaac as residents, at the very least in close proximity (e.g. Gerar). At one point Gaza was a major port controlled by Israel, although the Jewish population waxed and waned. The variances in the Jewish population of Gaza can be dated back to 61CE, but there was a constant Jewish presence in the region until 1929. That year, Jews fled the region following violent Arab riots that left over 130 Jews dead. The British subsequently prohibited Jews from returning, and eventually Egypt was given control over Gaza.[3]

Between 1947 and 1956, Israel gained and relinquished control of Gaza twice, finally regaining control of the area in 1967. For some time Arabs and Jews lived together in relative harmony with few problems – the most notable and deadly conflict being the First Intifada, which began in 1987. After the Oslo Accords (1993), Israelis made concessions and began to withdraw from the area. Between 2000 and 2005 tensions and Palestinian violence against Jews flared up during the Second Intifada. In 2005 Israel withdrew from Gaza completely, and the Palestinian Authority began attacking Israel =launching 4,000 rockets since 2011, as many as 9,000 since 2005, and 1, 000+ since July 7, 2014.  In 2006 the terrorist group Hamas won the majority vote of the Palestinian legislature and began to attack and silence any and all opposition, including fellow governing groups such as Fatah (the PLO). By 2007, Hamas was in full control of Gaza.

Operation Protective Edge

The current threat from Gaza is no different from the previous major operations since 2005: “heavy rocket fire on Israel’s civilians.” Israel’s critics are quick to point out the Palestinian death toll. However, what is often ignored is the fact that Israel is protecting its citizens, which includes Jews, Arabs, Christians, and Muslims, while Hamas is using its citizens as human shields, and using civilian infrastructure as storage facilities for weapons.  Many civilians participate in this willingly. The Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs put out a response paper in 2008 reminding its critics that “International law recognizes that civilian deaths and injuries may occur in lawful military operations. For an operation to be lawful it must be directed at a ‘legitimate military objective’ and be ‘proportionate.’ Under the Geneva Convention, as well as customary international law, if a military objective such as a missile launcher or weapons stockpile, is placed in the heart of a civilian area, it does not cease to be a lawful military objective. The primary responsibility for civilian causalities arising from the ‘shielding’ lies with the party that deliberately placed civilians at risk.” Dr. Amichai Cohen from Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA Center) reminds us that proportionality is often manipulated and misunderstood in modern warfare. “Especially in asymmetric conflicts, where one side is a state and the other a non-state combatant … The non-state actor, sometimes a terrorist organization, sometimes a rebel force, uses civilian populations as a shield to protect its fighters. This method of war is of course a war crime, and one of the worst ones, at that.”[4]

The current operation in Gaza is a fight for peace. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sums it upperfectly: “Israel cannot accept a reality in which millions of its citizens are subject to the whims of radical Islamic terrorist organizations …”  Professor Efraim Inbar and Dr. Eitan Shamir (BESA Center) weighed in on the topic as well: “Israel’s goal continues to be the establishment of a reality in which Israeli residents can live in safety without constant indiscriminate terror, while striking a significant blow to Hamas’ terror infrastructure.”

The Obstacles to Peace

It is the Palestinian leadership that is the greatest obstacle to peace. Zahir Muhsein, PLO executive committee member, in an interview with the Dutch newspaper “Trouw,” March 31, 1977 was quoted as saying, “The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity.” The leadership of the Palestinian people is determined to destroy the Jewish state and the Jewish people, as outlined in their Charter (i.e. Covenant), which calls for the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews. Palestinian desires for statehood do not include peaceful co-existence with Israel: according to the late PLO representative, Faisal Husseini, “Our ultimate goal is the liberation of all historic Palestine from the River to the Sea.”, (Al-Arabi,—June 24, 2001).[5]

There is a new player in this deadly game: ISIS (The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). ISIS has become known for its Blitzkrieg-like advance in Iraq, extremist views (e.g. forcing shop owners to veil mannequins), and severe oppression of Christians and fellow Muslims of opposing views.  ISIS is also very anti-Israel and said to have operatives in Gaza. Charles Lister observes, “ISIS now presents itself as an ideologically superior alternative to al-Qaeda within the international jihadi community and it has publicly challenged the legitimacy of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. As such, it has increasingly become a transnational movement with immediate objectives far beyond Iraq and Syria”[6]

Israel is smaller than the state of New Jersey, covering 8,729 square miles. It is also the only democracy in the Middle East, and America’s only real friend in the region.  When one is making decisions or taking a stance on the Arab-Israel conflict, one must go beyond the headlines.  If we are not given the full story, how can we correctly assess the situation –  much less offer help?

We must demand the full story.  ”

New York: Palgrave Macmillan, as quoted by Honest Reporting’s in “The Arab-Israeli Conflict: Primer to Understanding the Centuries Old Struggle” Bard also references Boston University professor, Richard Landeshas’ website which has raw video footage how “the Palestinians fake everything from shootouts with Israeli troops to funerals. The classic scene shows a group of mourners carrying a body on a stretcher. Suddenly the stretcher falls to the ground and the ‘corpse’ runs away.”  For examples of this so-called “Pallywood” see these videos: (1)  and (2)

Precisely because of the norm of proportionality, non-state actors actually use civilians more in battle, instead of using them less.” See: Co hen, A. (2006, August 15). What Does The Koran Really Say About Jews And Israel?

156The following is from  JewsNews:

“Professor Abdul Hadi Palazzi, Director of the Istituto Culturale della Comunita Islamica Italiana (Cultural Institute of the Italian Islamic Community) in Rome, who will speak on the sanctity of Jerusalem to the Jewish People.

The sources he intends to quote, from both the Bible and the Qur’an, indicate that, just as Mecca is sacred to Islam, so is Jerusalem sacred to Judaism. He sees no contradiction in the fact that Jerusalem, also sacred to the Muslims, should be under Jewish sovereignty.

As he tells us, he is no politician; he is merely giving us the benefit of his opinion as a theologian, a religious scholar: There is nothing wrong, he says, with Jerusalem being the undivided capital of the Jewish State, under Israeli sovereignty.

Here is ample illustration of my conviction that our ideas may be corroborated from various directions.

And this is, I repeat, only one of the topics to be discussed here.

I am indebted to President Weizman for hosting the opening session of the seminar. Let me express the hope that our discussions will be interesting and fruitful.

Jerusalem: Three-Fold Religious Heritage for a Contemporary Single Administration

Any discussion of the problem of sovereignty over Jerusalem necessarily means involvement in a kind of investigation that has political, cultural, psychological and religious implications. For Jew or Muslim, religious or secular, thinking of Jerusalem means to feel reason and sentiment mingled together.
In this paper I do not want to enter into specific features directly connected with politics; but, as a Muslim scholar and man of religion, only to try and determine whether, from an Islamic point of view, there is some well-grounded theological reason that makes it impossible for Muslims to accept the idea of recognizing Jerusalem both as an Islamic holy place and as the capital of the State of Israel.

Professor Abdul Hadi Palazzi, Director of the Istituto Culturale della Comunita Islamica Italiana (Cultural Institute of the Italian Islamic Community) in Rome, spoke on the sanctity of Jerusalem to the Jewish People.

The sources he quotes from, both the Bible and the Qur’an, indicate that, just as Mecca is sacred to Islam, so is Jerusalem sacred to Judaism. He sees no contradiction in the fact that Jerusalem, also sacred to the Muslims, should be under Jewish sovereignty.

There is nothing wrong, he says, with Jerusalem being the undivided capital of the Jewish State, under Israeli sovereignty.

1.1 Sovereignty belongs to God

First, I would like to emphasize that the idea of considering Jewish immigration to the Land of Israel as a western “invasion”, and Zionists as new “colonizers”, is very recent and has no relation to the basic features of Islamic faith. According to the Qur’an, no person, people or religious community can claim a permanent right of possession over a certain territory, since the earth belongs exclusively to God, Who is free to entrust sovereign rights to anyone He likes and for as long as He likes:

قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَاء وَتَنزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاء وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَاء وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَاء بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ إِنَّكَ عَلَىَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

“Say: ‘O God, King of the kingdom, Thou givest the kingdom to whom Thou pleasest, and Thou strippest off the kingdom from whom Thou pleasest; Thou endurest with honour whom Thou pleasest, and Thou bringest low whom Thou pleasest; all the best is in Thy hand. Verily, Thou hast power over all things’”.
Qur’an, Sura Al-i-Imran (“The Imrans”), 3:26 (Palazzi translation)

From this verse one can deduce a basic principle of the monotheistic philosophy of history: God can choose as He likes as to relationships between peoples and countries. Sometimes He gives a land to a people, and sometime He takes His possession back and gives it to another people. In general terms, one might say that He gives as a reward for obedience and takes back as a punishment for wickedness, but this rule does not permit us to say that God’s ways are always plain and clear to our understanding.

1.2 Anti-Zionism is un-Islamic

The idea of Islam as a factor that prevents Arabs from recognizing any sovereign right of Jews over Palestine is quite recent and can by no means be found in Islamic classical sources. To see anti-Zionism as a direct consequence of Islam is a form of explicit misunderstanding which implies the transformation of Islam from a religion into a secularized ideology.

This was originally done by the late mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Husseini, who was responsible for most of the Arab defeats and during World War Two collaborated with Adolf Hitler. Later, Jamal el-Din Abd el-Nasser based his policy on Pan-Arabism, hatred for Jews and alliance with the Soviet Union. All these doctrines were the real cause of Arab backwardness. Most of Nasser’s mistakes were afterwards corrected by the martyr Anwar Sadat.

Following the defeat of Nasserism, “fundamentalist” movements made anti-Zionism an outstanding part of their propaganda, trying to describe the so-called “fight for liberation of Palestine” as rooted in Islamic tradition and derived from religious principles.

1.3 Both the Bible and the Qur’an confirm that God gave the Land of Israel to the Children of Israel, and that He will bring the Children of Israel back to the Land of Israel at the End of Days

This plan for the transformation of Islam into an ideology of political struggle nevertheless encounters a significant obstacle, since both the Qur’an and the Torah indicate quite clearly that the link between the Children of Israel and the Land of Canaan does not depend on any kind of colonization project but directly on the will of God Almighty.

We learn from Jewish and Islamic Scriptures that God, through His chosen servant Moses, decided to free the offspring of Israel from slavery in Egypt and to make them inheritors of the Promised Land. Whoever claims that Jewish sovereignty over Palestine is something recent and dependent on political machinations is in fact denying the history of revelation and prophecy, as well as the clear teachings of the holy books.

The Qur’an cites the exact words with which Moses ordered the Israelites to conquer the Land:

“And (remember) when Moses said to his people: ‘O My People, call in remembrance the favour of God unto you, when he produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave to you what He had not given to any other among the peoples. O My People, enter the Holy Land which God has assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin”.
Qur’an, Sura Maida (“The Table”), 5:20-21 (Palazzi translation)

Moreover – and “fundamentalists” (Wahhabis) always “forget” this point – the Holy Qur’an quite openly refers to the reinstatement of the Jews in the Land of Israel before the Last Judgment, where it says:

وَقُلْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اسْكُنُواْ الأَرْضَ فَإِذَا جَاء وَعْدُ الآخِرَةِ جِئْنَا بِكُمْ لَفِيفًا

“And thereafter We said to the Children of Israel: ‘Dwell securely in the Promised Land. And when the last warning will come to pass, We will gather you together in a mingled crowd’”.
Qur’an, Sura al-Isra (The Night Journey) – Bani Isra’il (Children of Israel), 17:104 (Palazzi translation)

1.4 Jewish Sovereignty over Jerusalem

The most common argument against Islamic acknowledgment of Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem is that, as al-Quds is a holy place for Muslims, Muslims cannot accept its being ruled by non-Muslims, because such acceptance would be a betrayal of Islam.

Before expressing our point of view on this question, we must reflect upon the reason that Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque hold such a sacred position in Islam. As everyone should know, the definition of Jerusalem as an Islamic holy place depends upon al-Mi’raj, the Ascension of the Prophet Muhammad to heaven, which began from the Holy Rock.

While remembering this, we must admit that there is no real link between al-Mi’raj and sovereign rights over Jerusalem, since when al-Mi’raj took place the city was not under Islamic, but under Byzantine administration. Moreover, the Qur’an expressly recognises that Jerusalem plays the same role for Jews that Mecca has for Muslims.
We read:

مَّا تَبِعُواْ قِبْلَتَكَ وَمَا أَنتَ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَتَهُمْ وَمَا بَعْضُهُم بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَةَ بَعْضٍ

“They would not follow thy direction of prayer (qibla), nor art thou to follow their direction of prayer; nor indeed will they follow each other’s direction of prayer”.
Qur’an, Sura Al Baqarah (“The Heifer”), 2:145 (Palazzi translation)

All Qur’anic commentators explain that “thy qibla” is clearly the Ka’ba of Mecca, while “their qibla” refers to the Temple Mount (bayt al-maqdis) in Jerusalem. To cite just one of the most important of them, we read in Qadi Baydawi’s commentary:

“Verily, in their prayers Jews orient themselves toward the Rock (sakhrah), while Christians orientated themselves eastwards”.
M. Sheikh Zadeh, Hashiyya ala tafsir al-Qadi al-Baydawi, (Istanbul: 1979)

As opposed to what Islamic “fundamentalists” (Wahhabis) continuously claim, the Book of Islam – as we have just now seen – recognises the Temple Mount (bayt al-maqdis) in Jerusalem as the Jewish direction of prayer. Some Muslim exegetes also quote the Book of Daniel as proof of this:

“And when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house — now his windows were open in his upper chamber toward Jerusalem — and he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime”.
Daniel 6:11

After reviewing the most relevant Qur’anic passages in this connection, one easily concludes that, as no one wishes to deny Muslims complete sovereignty over Mecca, from an Islamic point of view there is no sound theological reason to deny Jews the same rights over Jerusalem.

If we see ourselves as religious men, we must necessarily include justice among our qualities. As regards the argument, we have to admit that the same idea of justice requires that we treat Jews, Christians and Muslims equally. No community can demand for itself privileges that it is not ready to recognise for others.

We know that Roman Catholics see Rome as their own capital. The fact that Rome has the largest mosque in Europe and an ancient Jewish community does not alter its role as the world center of Catholicism. Even more can be said of Mecca: It is the main religious center for Muslims the world over and is completely under Islamic administration.

Respecting this principle of fair-mindedness, we necessarily conclude that Israelis as a nation and Jews as a religion must have their own political and religious capital, under their sole administration, even though it contains certain places regarded as sacred by the other two Abrahamic faiths (Christianity and Islam).

To my mind, this is the only realistic ground for any discussion of the future of the Holy City. The other parties must understand that Jews will never agree to have less rights than other religions, and that Israelis will never agree to see David’s City divided into two parts.

If everyone was happy to see the Berlin Wall destroyed, it was because the very idea of forced separation within a single city is something objectionable to human sensitivity. We cannot even think of creating another Berlin in the heart of the Middle East. Of course, the idea of “two Jerusalems”, if ever realized, will by no means be a solution, but a source of new troubles and conflicts.

It is quite clear that the future of Jerusalem requires general agreement. In our opinion, the only reliable partners for Israel seem to be the Holy See and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. They must understand that Israelis will never agree even to discuss the possibility of dividing their capital and spiritual center, while Israel must grant Christians and Muslims considerable autonomy in the administration of their respective Holy Places.

Those who speak of Jerusalem as the future capital of “two different states” know very well that this kind of proposal has no basis in reality. It is time to suggest imaginative solutions, and to become involved in a global project for the development of the Middle East as a whole, so that peaceful coexistence with Israel can make a real contribution to overcoming the backwardness of most Islamic countries.

1.5 Prohibiting Jews, Christians and other non-Muslims from praying on the Temple Mount (bayt al-maqdis)

The administration of the holy places in Jerusalem is a very complicated issue, and it is not possible here to enter into details. We would nevertheless like to mention something that appears unbearable for any person of religious conscience: The fact that at present the Islamic administration of bayt al-maqdis (Temple Mount) permits Jews to visit the Temple Mount but not to pray there. There are special officials in the area whose task is to ensure that Jewish visitors on the Temple Mount are not moving their lips in prayer.

To my mind, this is clearly opposed to Islamic prescriptions and rules. We have seen that the Holy Qur’an declares the Rock a qibla (direction of prayer) for Jews. How then, is it possible that – in the name of Islam – someone dares to forbid Jews to pray in the place that God has appointed as their qibla?

This is a clear example of a case in which pseudo-religious principles may work against the real spirit of religion. Moreover, we must ask: Is it possible for someone who believes in God to forbid another human to pray? What kind of religion can let us interfere in the relationship between the Creator and His creatures?

On this point the Qur’an says:

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُواْ لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُواْ بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ

“When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close to them: I answer the prayer of every suppliant who calleth on Me”.

Qur’an, Sura al-Baqarah (“The Cow”), 2:186 (Palazzi translation)

This verse explains that God is always close to His servants when they are praying. Wherever we are and whoever we are, according to the Qur’an we can be sure that God is listening to our prayers and will answer them, although, of course, we are not always able to understand His response.

This being the case, no one who believes in God can possibly prevent others praying, notwithstanding the fact that they belong to another religious tradition.

The very idea of opposing someone’s prayers reveals a really deep lack of faith.”

I have absolutely nothing more to add to this, except to ask how many Korans are out there?  ie From prior post, the one Brigitte Gabriele quoted came from Saudi Arabia.  Regardless before Kerry and Obama fund terrorists in Palestine with millions of US money, perhaps they should know their history.

My Reply to Muslims Who Hate

Psalm1083Referencing your accusations on  American history with slavery.  No, we in America have not forgot our Black history. But, we have OVERCOME the injustices, and not by hates (which with some uneducated, still prevail), but with our Constitution of the United States, laws, and the love of Jesus Christ who teaches us to “love our enemies”. I am a Christian, who believes that Christ died on the Cross for the sins of mankind. That includes you who call yourself Muslim. It is only by education and knowledge that antiquated thinking in the Mid-East can be absolved. It is very difficult to love an enemy that mutilates the genitals of women, and enjoys violence and the dismembering those whose heads they chop off.  It is barbaric acts, that here in the US, would land you in a jail with a death sentence or life imprisonment. Here we have laws to protect women, and women here have equal rights and can work and speak out and vote for leaders, some of whom do not come up to our expectations, and do not have to hide their faces, nor do we tolerate beatings by husbands and domestic violence. The thinking and lack of education in your Muslim world keeps you 1,000 years behind progressive laws, and freedoms.

My Bible and Christianity tell me that the “truth will set you free”. Freedom comes at a price, and it comes sometimes with pain and suffering as it has for my Black brothers and sisters in America. But, here freedom reigns and we have a Constitution that backs free speech, while you as Muslims, live in fear and hatreds handed down generation after generation. You are therefore, in my estimation, in the deepest vilest bondage; Whereby, I pray continually, unceasingly for the day when peace will be the norm. I feel sorrow for you, to have go bear such hates all your life. Peace be with you in Jesus name…the only one who heals the broken hearted.

From Brigitte Gabriel speaking of this Islamic activist.  “Khalidi is a strident Palestinian activist who blames #America and #Israelfirst for all the problems of the Middle East. He’s also a long-time supporter and associate of Barack Obama, who started the whole “#ISIS is not Islamic” narrative.

We don’t know what Quran Khalidi is reading from , or why he does not reveal the entire verse for the audience, but we do know one thing:  Here is, verbatim, the whole verse in one popular English language version of the Quran published in Saudi Arabia:

“So, when you meet (in fight–Jihad in Allah’s cause) those who disbelieve, smite (their) necks till when you have KILLED (emphasis added) and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them captives). Thereafter (is the time) either for generosity (i.e. free them without ransom), or ransom (according to what benefits Islam), until the war lays down its burden. Thus [you are ordered by Allah to continue in carrying out Jihad against the disbelievers till they embrace Islam and are saved from the punishment in the Hell-fire or at least come under your protection], but if it had been Allah’s Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you). But (He lets you fight) in order to test some of you with others. But those who are killed in the Way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost.” ”

Such encouragement to die for such false glory.  What horrible bondage these people are brought up with and such hates to bestow upon youth and young life.   All of a sudden I am seeing through God’s eyes.  I haven’t been able to do that in the past.  But, now, suddenly, I see all these children and especially young women, too, brought up in all this ignorance and hatred, without education, without structure, without self esteem, without love.  Yes, more than anything, without love.  They cannot study, cannot even have books other than the Quran.   Suddenly years ago, they were enlightened with technology which  they know nothing about with access to a world via Internet, and cell phones, they know nothing about.  They are unschooled, unlearned, and in their hateful secluded worlds of killing and their obsession over a God that is not only false, but just as beleaguered as they.   Imagine you who read this, never going to a movie, never seeing a play, never seeing beautiful art, galleries, music, or even knowing their own history.   They live exactly as they did,  more or less, 2,000 years ago.

I have on here enough about the false God Mohamed who was a pedophile and rapist, who did not come on the world seen until around 560 AD about the same time as the  first Pope.  The first “Christians ” were all Jews, ascended through teachings and followings by the disciples of Jesus who too, were all Jews.  It did not spring out of the Catholic Church, anymore than from Islam.  Instead ORIGINALLY, Christianity was birthed by Jews to Jews accepting Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, unto God the Father of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  I only come to Christ THROUGH the CROSS as a “gentile”  (since Jesus was a  Jew and Rabbi).  It is only through the mediating power of Jesus that I can pray to God the Father.

But on the other hand, we must not forget how God feels about both Isaac and Ishmael.   “It is remarkable to realize that Isaac and Ishmael were two out of perhaps only six or seven men in the entire Bible who were pre-named by God!  God’s love for both brothers was evident in the fact that He not only named them, but also spoke awesome prophetic words over both.

“….and I will establish My covenant with him  [Isaac] for an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him” (Genesis 17:19).   “And as for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I will bless him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly.  He shall become the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation”  (Genesis 17:20). (oil).

While there is no way to equate Ishmael’s blessing with the everlasting covenant God made to Abraham; which was repeated to Isaac, not Ishmael, and then to Jacob; we know from scripture that it is the Lord’s heart that none should perish.  And since there is yet unfulfilled prophecy for the nations surrounding Israel, we must carry a heart for these Arab nations and as God for their salvation. ”

We must too carry God’s heart for the Jewish people! Jew-hatred is as old as the Jews themselves and is often referred to as the longest hatred.   (I immediately think of journalist Helen Thomas, who famously yelled out her hates then, getting fired.)  The newly fired Antisemitism taking hold now in Germany, if fueled now by Arabs and it could once more destroy Germany as Hitler did.  Hate, war, and bigotry, goes hand in hand.  The Bible indicates that the Messiah (Jesus) won’t return until a Jewish Jerusalem welcomes Him back; and there have been demonic plots throughout history to annihilate the people and land that God has chosen as His own. And no doubt the devil will continue this fight, yet he will not succeed in destroying His Chosen.

The minute the “fruit” of the Revelation of Jesus Christ enters your heart, it is no longer mental.   The minute that happens it all starts working.  It renews our mind, and it works in the heart, that compassion of Christ we read about.  The measure doesn’t work by love, it works by knowledge.  The heart is touched, when the mind becomes Rhema in our hearts.  It becomes the gift of faith in James 5:15.  Without faith it is impossible to please God.  Faith, the root meaning is that its object is Christ and the Cross….otherwise, God will not accept. He who comes to God must believe HE IS!  (Its how God deals with the Human race.)  Expositors study Bible

May we all look deep inside our own walk with Christ.  We do not have the Holy Ghost power to lead others to the Cross and witness the word, if we are not dead in Christ, ourselves.   To die in repentance at that Cross and the blood shed at Calvary, kills the old man in us and when we come up…All things are passed away, we are NEW…we get a new life.  (That is what the media, Catholics, and Islam too, do not understand with the salvation message.)   The past from that day forward is dead!  Gone!  Washed by Jesus blood shed at Calvary…So all of you who, some may even hate me at this point, I say unto you…Your religion is in vain unless your bought by the blood.  It is the ONLY way.  Jesus said, ” I AM the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT..  NO ONE COMETH TO THE FATHER,  except by ME… For all you Islamic’s in hate, “Come unto me all ye that are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”  Jesus bore it all for our sins…and the sins and hates too , of all of mankind.   A whole new world after repentance would open up to you who believe in the ONLY one…Name above ALL names… and an end to bondage…with eternal life…for HE bore it all.

*Excerpts by Scott Volk, in Decision Magazine.

What does the Koran (one of several versions) really say about Jews?

CS Lewis..Jacob’s Dream, was the story of the making of a man.  His life symbolizes to us the Sanctification process.  In the life of Abraham, Jacob’s grandfather, we are given the Doctrine of Justification by Faith.  This great Truth is covered in twelve chapters of Genesis; however, the Doctrine of Sanctification through Jacob’s life covers Twenty-five chapters.  This tells us that it is one thing to gain entrance into the Kingdom; it’s something else to live in the Kingdom.

“And Jacob went out from Beer-sheba, and went toward Haran.  And he stopped at a certain place, and  tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place o sleep.  And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the Earth, and the top of it reached Heaven; and behold the Angels of God ascending and descending on it.  And behold, the LORD stood above i, and said, I AM the Lord of God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac; the land whereon you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed;  And your seed shall be as the dust of the Earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west, and to the east and to the north, and to the south; and in you and in your seed shall all families of the Earth be blessed.   And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you in all places where you go, and will bring you again into this land; for I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken to you of.” Genesis 28:10-15

Sanctification is the act of GOD making the believing sinner clean and set apart.  Sanctification in the eyes of God is instant, yet in practice, is a process.  It is stated the following way:  “We are sanctified, we are being sanctified, we SHALL be sanctified.” This is Progressive Sanctification.  Sanctification works in our lives in two distinct ways.

1.  There is the “standing” of Sanctification, which comes to every sinner at the moment of Conversion.  This position never changes and is looked at by God as perfect, because Christ is Perfect.

2.  Then there is our “state” of Sanctification, which is something else entirely.  As one’s standing never changes, and  can’t change, as long as one is continually trusting in Christ and His Finished Work; however, one’s state can be up or down.  It is the Work of the Holy Spirit to bring our state up to our standing.  This is the process of going from Jacob to Israel.  Roman’s 8:2 is the fulfillment.  “For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of sin and death.”

Jacob’s very name means “heel catcher” , supplanter, deceiver.  Enoch had hold of his heel in the womb, and Jacob too, always had a limp. His name gives us a picture of who we really are. However, while we may start out like this, it is the plan of God for us to end the journey, not as Jacob, but as “Israel”, Prince with God.

It was God’s will for Jacob and not Esau to have the birthright. Isaac, though knowing God’s will, set out to give the birthright to Esau.  Hear we see Rebekah and Jacob trying to help out God’s Plan through self will and the flesh.       Self-will is the Believer’s biggest problem.  How often do we try to bring about the Plan of God through our own self-efforts, which God cannot bless?

All sin has it’s consequences.  Jacob’s sin of deception cost him his family, as he was forced to flee so Esau (name meaning the hairy one) would not kill him.  God cannot, and will not, tolerate sin, even in the life of those whom He has called.  Sin separates one from God for all sin, no matter how it’s carried out, is against the Lord.

Now the journey for him began.  In Jacob’s mind, he is alone an destitute, all hope and resources cut off.  We all have to make this journey.  We all have to come to the end of self.  Though Jacob had sinned, he was not cast aside and rejected.  What he didn’t know was this was the first lesson to be learned in the making of a man (woman too).

Jacob sleeping paints a beautiful picture that we must all learn.  The sleep represents Jacob ceasing from his own personal efforts to bring about the Plan of God.  His sleep represents dependence upon the Lord and not self.  Willingly, we seldom come to this place.  For most of us, something drastic has to happen for us to allow the Holy Spirit to bring us to this place of rest.  He laid his head upon a rock.  The “Rock” is a type of Christ. Only when we are resting in HIM with our head resting on His Bosom, can we truly be used of God.   (Elijah later goes through almost the same after his battle with Jezebel,  sitting so depressed and tired against that Juniper tree, as if leaning on God when he wanted to die.)

As Jacob sleeps, he has a dream.  He sees a ladder from Earth to Heaven with Angels ascending and descending.  In essence, one could say that Jesus Christ was and is that “ladder”.  Through HIM and HIM alone, can one find Eternal Peace and Salvation.  The path to Heaven is the “ladder,” Jesus Christ.  Jacob saw angels ascending and descending.  This proclaims all the resources of Heaven that are available to all believers.

It’s one thing to know that the Lord will send angels to watch over us, but the Bible tells us that God Himself paid Jacob a visit, and take him a Promise.  The Lord told Jacob, “I AM WITH YOU.”  Even though he failed, God doesn’t throw us away, but says, I am with you.”  Then the Lord stated, “I will keep you, I will bring you again into this land.  I won’t leave you, until I have done all that of which I have spoken to you.”  *The Evangelist 2007 Donnie Swaggart

Re-reading this teaching from many years back, I see Jacob in me, trying to be God’s little helper, disappointed and hurt with my children that remain, and even a few of my grandchildren, who do not “get it”….After all, everything now has been accepted in today’s church.  It too has gravitated towards this “Pop Culture”.    i-Phones, text messaging, all the “fun” and technology video’s over  the air waves as well as all the threats we receive as a nation.  But are we “in” the word?  Do we trust HIM and only HIM?  When something drastic as Jacob went through happens, do we take a step back and pray first? Before announcing all over the media what our problem is?   I need to step back….I need to get UN-involved for a time, and go back to the Cross.  For it is only the CROSS that is going to heal this nation, change Muslims, and give us peace.  There is no compromise I wrote on here before.  None at all.  I feel old and tired this day…Young people so illiterate do not get it, nor believe in our one true God…the I AM of Jacob.  And I fear for them.  My prayers for my nation, my family, this world, has to be left at the CROSS. For you Lord, are our only answer.  Thank you Jesus, sanctify us God and give us strength and insight for what is to come.

And my answer to the Pope in his new stance with allowing Gays in the Catholic church? (I’m not nor ever have been Catholic.)However, sin is sin…They should be allowed in any church, Catholic or Protestant, however, the WORD of God is meant to “convict” and leave your sin, repenting, coming to the Cross. When you come to the Cross you are a new body in Christ Jesus, who loves the sinner but hates the sin. For out of what we all came out of is a ministry of sorts….Else it makes all Jesus died for on the CROSS and the blood HE shed for the sins of mankind, a lie. If it twists the word, the gospel, it is not of God. PERIOD! It is how God deals with the corruption of mankind and has since Adam. When Saul walked on that road to Tarsus, he was a slave trader, an abusive wicked man, but when he fell under the spirit of God on that road, he was made new, and became Apostle Paul, a new creature in Christ, the Lord’s disciple until he went home. If there is no change in the human flesh and frailties, then He cannot mold you like clay in HIS image, and it is fraught for nothing. God calls sin sin for a reason.. So we can witness His love and the changes in our lives. Else it makes the Cross a lie and defiles it.  Thank you Lord and bless those who come to this site.

Know Thy Enemy

6234Know thy enemy, as Obama has opened the doors to the influx of Islam into America.  And Jihad is a part of Islam,  and History from the Ottoman Period is now repeating itself.  First from Wiki then other Link on Ottman Period, following is at the end.

From Wikipedia:  (Our involvment in the Ottoman period when Jefferson was President.)

The First Barbary War (1801–1805) also known as the Tripolitan War or the Barbary Coast War, was the first of two warsfought between the United States and the Northwest African Berber Muslim states known collectively as the Barbary States. These were the Ottoman provinces of Tripoli, Algiers, and Tunis, which were enjoying a large autonomy, as well as the independent Sultanate of Morocco. The war was fought because U.S. President Thomas Jefferson refused to pay the high tributes demanded by the Barbary states and because they were seizing American merchant ships and enslaving the crews for high ransoms. It was the first declared war the United States fought on foreign land and seas.
Obama can learn a lot about how we should be dealing with Islamic extremists from Thomas Jefferson.

From Downtrend:

In 1786, Jefferson and John Adams met with Tripoli’s ambassador to Great Britain. They asked this ‘diplomat’ by what right his nation attacked American ships and enslaved her citizens and why the Muslims held such hostility toward this new nation, with which neither Tripoli nor any of the other Barbary Coast nations had any previous contact. The answer was quite revealing. Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja (the ambassador) replied that Islam:

“Was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Qur’an, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.

That is indeed quite revealing. Yet, America continued paying ransoms to these terrorists for the next fifteen years or so. Until Jefferson became President. Then, the Pasha (leader) of Tripoli sent a demand to the new leader for an immediate payment of $225,000 and $25,000 per year on an ongoing basis. Jefferson flatly refused, leading the Pasha to cut down the flagpole of the American consulate and declaring war on the United States. The rest of the terrorist states followed suit.

“The Ottoman Empire

The Great Mosque in Damascus, Syria ©The Ottoman Empire was the one of the largest and longest lasting Empires in history.

It was an empire inspired and sustained by Islam, and Islamic institutions.

It replaced the Byzantine Empire as the major power in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The Ottoman Empire reached its height under Suleiman the Magnificent (reigned 1520-66), when it expanded to cover the Balkans and Hungary, and reached the gates of Vienna.

The Empire began to decline after being defeated at the Battle of Lepanto (1571) and losing almost its entire navy. It declined further during the next centuries, and was effectively finished off by the First World War and the Balkan Wars.

One legacy of the Islamic Ottoman Empire is the robustsecularism of modern Turkey.

At its peak it included:

  • Turkey
  • Egypt
  • Greece
  • Bulgaria
  • Romania
  • Macedonia
  • Hungary
  • Palestine
  • Jordan
  • Lebanon
  • Syria
  • Parts of Arabia
  • Much of the coastal strip of North Africa
Why was the Empire successful?

The recipe for success

There were many reasons why the Ottoman Empire was so successful:

  • Highly centralised
  • Power was always transferred to a single person, and not split between rival princes
    • The Ottoman Empire was successfully ruled by a single family for 7 centuries.
  • State-run education system
  • Religion was incorporated in the state structure, and the Sultan was regarded as “the protector of Islam”.
  • State-run judicial system
  • Ruthless in dealing with local leaders
  • Promotion to positions of power largely depended on merit
  • Created alliances across political and racial groups
  • United by Islamic ideology
  • United by Islamic warrior code with ideal of increasing Muslim territory through Jihad
  • United by Islamic organisational and administrative structures
  • Highly pragmatic, taking the best ideas from other cultures and making them their own
  • Encouraged loyalty from other faith groups
  • Private power and wealth were controlled
  • Very strong military
    • Strong slave-based army
    • Expert in developing gunpowder as a military tool
    • Military ethos pervaded whole administration

After Baghdad fell to the Mongols, the Seljuks declared an independent Sultanate in east and central Asia Minor.

In 1301, Uthman, an Uzbek of the Ottoman clan, overthrew the Seljuk aristocracy and proclaimed himself the Sultan of Asia Minor.

Rule of force

At first the rule of the Ottoman Sultans was insecure. To consolidate their Empire the Ottoman Sultans formed groups of fanatical fighters – the orders of the Janissaries, a crack infantry group of slaves and Christian converts to Islam.

The Ottomans inflicted a series of defeats on the declining Christian Byzantine Empire and then quickly expanded westward.

Constantinople was the heart of the Byzantine Empire. It became the capital of the Ottoman Empire when it was conquered in 1453 by the Ottoman Sultan Mehmet II.

Sultan Suleymaniye Mosque, Istanbul, Turkey Mehmet slaughtered many of the population and forced the rest into exile, later repopulating the city by importing people from elsewhere in Ottoman territory.

Mehmet renamed Constantinople Istanbul – the ‘city of Islam’ – and set about rebuilding it, both physically and politically, as his capital.

Istanbul became not only a political and military capital, but because of its position at the junction of Europe, Africa, and Asia, one of the great trade centres of the world. Another important city was Bursa, which was a centre of the silk trade.

Some of the later Ottoman conquests were clearly intended to give them control of other trade routes.

Among the goods traded were:

  • Silk and other cloth
  • Musk
  • Rhubarb
  • Porcelain from China
  • Spices such as pepper
  • Dyestuffs such as indigo

The economic strength of the Empire also owed much to Mehmet’s policy of increasing the number of traders and artisans in the Empire.

He first encouraged merchants to move to Istanbul, and later forcibly resettled merchants from captured territories such as Caffa.

He also encouraged Jewish traders from Europe to migrate to Istanbul and set up in business there. Later rulers continued these policies.

The siege of Constantinople

When Sultan Mehmet II rode into the city of Constantinople on a white horse in 1453, it marked the end of a thousand years of the Byzantine Empire. Earlier attempts to capture the city had largely failed – so why did the Ottomans succeed this time? What effect did the fall of Constantinople have on the rest of the Christian world?

Roger Crowley, author and historian; Judith Herrin, Professor of Late Antique and Byzantine Studies at King’s College London; and Colin Imber, formerly Reader in Turkish at Manchester University discuss these questions.

Effects of the fall of Constantinople

The capture of Constantinople ended the Byzantine Empire after 1100 years. The effect of this on Christian Europe was enormous.

One unexpected effect was that many scholars fled from the new empire and went to Italy, where they were influential in sparking off the Renaissance, and increasing trade with the east.

Although the Pope demanded a crusade to recapture Istanbul from the Muslims, the Christian nations failed to produce an army for him, and no attempt to retake the city was made.

The Muslim dominance of the trading centre of the former Constantinople increased the pressure on Western nations to find new ways to the East by going westwards. This eventually led to the expeditions of Columbus, Magellan, and Drake.”

History Repeating Itself AGAIN!

I feel so much compassion for BiBi….Netanyahu looks so tired…So much weight on his shoulders. Obama should be ashamed of himself.

This blog from Holland reposting my post:

I Watched Sid Roth on TBN yesterday..Jonathan Cahn…The mystery of the Shimitah…and ties in with the 4 Blood Moons….eclipses ..all on Jewish Holidays..  He went into talking about how disasters happen on these days, going back to the Tower of Babel all the way to 9/11…by this time 2015…A disaster with SOMETHING horrendous that is going to happen…and on Obama’s watch.   God is in charge!!!  For what we have done aborting (murdering) babies since 1973, to Islam..letting them infiltrate hate and all the antisemitism against the Jews…  BEWARE….and  with all this…the market will CRUMBLE! Christians and Jews MUST plan…save …and know what is coming!  We ARE in the end times!

For those who deal in financial planning…This is a warning of what is to come…There is too a download of the whole transcript on Sid’s site….The Rapture is coming soon.   No doubt …We just had a Jewish holiday, Sudat in Sept.  Next is the eclipse of the sun…on another holiday in January 2015, then the Passover in April 2015, and the last the Sudat  again Sept 2015…(4 Blood Moons) Add to this what Jonathan Cahn says about the Shimitah…GOD is moving…and HE is angry.  It would not surprise me one iota if that new 9/11 tower came down again…..But all this is going to be on Obama’s watch….God is moving. He will show the WORLD HE IS THE “I AM…NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES”….In Jesus name!  There is no other !  “Thou shalt have no other Gods before me!”

From Decision Magazine:

As it once was…when America had God’s protection…Now the Government sends the IRS on Christians, and Billie and Franklin Graham.  Such arrogance!  In the face of God Almighty!!
